Babies were well adjusted in a few years now. And yet nothing seems to have changed in the world of traditional pregnancy books. There is barely a murmur in most of them about anything holistic.
With the rise of holistic medicine and alternative healing, it is surprising to see Dr. Jennifer Barham-Floreani baby doll is one of the few pregnancy books available on the subject of mothers and babies. "Dr. Jen" as she is known to be a perfectionist type, because the book is over 700 pages!
The length also tells us that there was a need for enormous untapped pregnancy books on holistic healing for babies and children.
It's like a skyscraper of 90 floors will be built next to your house and you claim that you can not see or hear something!
A U.S. Department Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study said that the use of complementary and alternative medicine has grown a giant leap from 2002 to 2009.
In Australia, industry of complementary and alternative medicine is estimated at over $ 1 billion and a growth of over 30% per year.
Yet, the traditional pregnancy books reflect the values are higher than the world of traditional medicine in general: to treat the symptoms and avoid or ignore the cause.
The only thing that most of the traditional preventive care, doctors, oil changes every month for their luxury cars.
It's funny they call "traditional medicine", when a greater dependence on drugs and symptoms are relatively new in history. Some so-called "alternative" medical practices were effective for 5000 years!
