One more reason to love fish

Can eating fish a lot reduce the risk of diabetics getting kidney diseases? A study at Addenbrookee's Hospital in Cambridge U.K tracked the frequency of fish consumption of 22,000 middle-aged and older men and women, 517 of whom had diabetes. Diabetics who ate an average of less than one serving of fish per week  were found to have four times the risk of microalbuminuria- the leakage of albunmin into the urine by the kidney compared to those who had about two servings a week. In type 1 diabetes, leaked urine indicates renal failure; in type 2 diabetes, it points to ischemic heart diseases..
